Wool combs

Combing is a great way to align fibers and remove impurities (like vegetation, nepps or weak fibers). The Golden Fleece Carders combs can also be used to separate hair and down fibers found on double coated animals such as yak, bison and qiviut.

The wool combs are made with tempered steel pins. The quality of these pins is the same as the ones used by industrial wool processors. The diameter of the pins is 2.5 mm and they are 65 mm long. Each comb has 14 pins evenly spread over a combing area of 67 mm. The handle is made of solid beech wood. The ergonomic grips make them a real joy to work with.

Each pair of wool combs comes with a leather cover to protect the steel pins when not used.
