* What is a punch needle?
When the needle is punched into the fabric, it leaves a little loop on the other side. The loops are repeated to fill in a design. A group of loops is called the pile. It is fixed by forming a pile on the fabric. Punch needle is one of the easiest techniques for anyone to learn. You can thread a needle without the need for a separate threader.
- Easy to learn
- You can finish your work quickly.
* What about the different sizes; the regular size needles are suitable for thick yarns and the fine size needles are suitable for thin yarns. It comes in seven sizes in total.
- Regular Needle : 13 / 10 / 6 (Recommended yarn thickness for a regular needle : 3 to 5 mm)
- Fine Needle : 10 / 6 / 3 (Recommended yarn thickness for a fine needle : 1.5–3 mm)
The size of the number indicates the actual height of the formed loop. For example; needle No.6, the actual height of a loop formed by punching a needle will be approximately 6 mm (however, there may be some differences depending on the material of the yarn).
